Here is a recap of the last seven days:
Day 1: Alex wakes up with liquid draining out of her ear (sorry for the visual) which turns out to be a double ear infection. I attempt to prepare for my semi-annual sales meeting (somewhere in between taking care of a sick Alex, who is really not too keen on me trying to get anything done when she isn't healthy.) Approximately 3 hours of sleep for me.
Day 2: I leave the house at 6 a.m. to take Alex to daycare by 7 a.m., to then drive in a different direction to my work meeting at 8 a.m. Lots of coffee. Lots and lots of coffee. Dinner out with my district. Home by 10 p.m.
Day 3: Rich was going to take off of work this day so that I wouldn't have to do the 2 hour daycare haul.....Then he got a phone call as I was leaving the house notifying him that the well on his golf course was no longer functioning. Apparently they get a little perturbed when the well doesn't work on a golf course. So he had to take Alex to daycare (45 minutes in the OPPOSITE direction of his work). Meanwhile, I'm in my sales meeting again. Rock climbing. Blindfolded. (No, really. You think I'm kidding?) Followed by dinner out with my district. Home by 8 p.m.
Day 4: Daycare, 6 a.m. Work meeting at 8 a.m. Finished at 5 p.m. It's an early day for me, I should be thankful right? I get a call from my realtor about our house that was supposed to close on August 2nd, asking if we could close on July 23 instead. As in, 2 days later. Which shouldn't have been a problem since we moved out of it some 3 months ago, but we still had some miscellaneous items there that we were planning on dealing with over the weekend...... So let's just say that the new homeowners are now also the proud new owners of our former washer and dryer. Thanks for buying our house! Here's something for your troubles! (FYI, craigslist is a wonderful little classified selling tool, but it helps to list items on there for longer than 12 hours. Something rings a bit desperate when you state in your ad that the item needs to be picked up in the next 15 minutes.)
Day 5: Daycare. My work meetings are over, so I head out to do my normal job. I breathe a sigh of relief and get ready for a less-hectic day. Then my phone rings and I answer it (Mistake #1) and get coerced into being in a TV shoot for a work training video (Mistake #2). I turn my car around about as fast as I possibly can to go home and grab a jacket because we were just lectured the DAY BEFORE about how we are to be wearing our suit jackets in the field (Um, yes, 115 degrees out there?) and of course I will be shooting the TV ad with the manager who actually gave us the presentation about the Dress Code. Wonderful. Later that day, we do the final escrow signing and stop by the old house for one last goodbye.
Day 6: Daycare. Then I drive to Flagstaff to work a booth at a healthcare convention. I spend the night in my hotel room, really missing my Alex and Rich because I haven't seen them nearly all week.
Day 7: I work the convention booth during the day, then drive back to Phoenix. So excited to spend some quality time with family. Rich gets food poisoning and is pretty much out of commission.
And I'm kind of abbreviating it, believe it or not. And I don't have any photos for this post, because HELLO, does it look like I had time for photography this week?! :) :)
I'm so behind on blogging, I still have to write about our wonderful vacation in Georgia, and lots of other things I'm sure. Maybe things will slow down here soon?

WOW what an absolutely insane week! I don't know how you survived - I hope this week is a lot calmer for you. And you have to wear a suit jacket in that crazy heat? That's unbelievable.
Don't you just love sticklers for dress code!? Ugh! I'm sorry you had such a crazy week, and a sick baby and husband to boot. I hope you get some nice relaxation in this week. Sounds like it's time to take a mental health day! :)
