Our 1st Weekend Away

This past weekend, our good friends got married in California, so Rich and I decided to take the plunge and go on our first trip without Alex.  We were more than a little anxious, not because we were worried about her care, (she stayed with my mom), but because we knew we would miss our little sweetie.

But we had a great time! We missed Alex, but it was also nice to have a little adult time and not worry about relieving a babysitter or having to wake up early after a long night out.

Coincidentally, their wedding also fell on our anniversary weekend.  Two years ago, we were saying "I do" on a gorgeous Maui beach....we didn't know that in two years we would be the parents of a 10 month old and how much our lives could change in such a short amount of time.  What a wonderful two years it has been for us; we are so very blessed!
